almost every meeting. Please come prepared.
Sentence editing: Taking care of the basics first.
Foundations of critical thinking and its role in
writing well articulated, strong academic pieces.
Plagiarism and MLA format.
Common Fallacies and examples of fallacious
writing. (throughout the semester)
Preparing arguments: It’s All About the Prewriting.
Formal Papers. (prewriting and rough drafts will be
brought to class and worked on in class—failure to
have required materials will result in a 0 for the day
and an absence—you will not be allowed to attend
the course).
Research: It’s Not About What You Think; It’s About
What You Can Prove.
